Software Engineer

Responsibilities

• Build and evolve the Alpha Platform, an AI-driven system for pre-trade analytics, risk, hedging, and portfolio optimization
• Design and implement highly scalable services across the full stack, from data ingestion pipelines to client-facing API layers
• Take end-to-end ownership of complex requirements, driving solutions from initial design through production delivery
• Mentor team members and help define engineering standards and system design best practices
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-SLA financial platform features

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional experience implementing scalable services in Java (Spring Framework) and/or Python (FastAPI, Pydantic, async patterns)
• Proficiency with relational databases like PostgreSQL and data processing libraries such as Pandas or Polars
• Experience with AI-assisted development workflows and Spec-Driven Development (SDD)
• Strong command of system design, architectural paradigms, design patterns, data structures, and algorithms
• Ability to work independently in ambiguous environments and articulate technical nuances to stakeholders

Preferred Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with gRPC, Redis, Docker, Gradle, uv, AWS, or Kubernetes
• Understanding of financial domains such as risk, pre-trade analytics, swaps, or the trade lifecycle
