About the Company

Cape is America’s privacy-first mobile carrier. Founded in 2022, Cape is building a secure network from the ground up to provide users with end-to-end control of their digital identity and protect them from the vulnerabilities of legacy telecommunications infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Design and integrate core telecommunications infrastructure to provide secure cellular service.
• Take full ownership of the software lifecycle for foundational components of the telecommunications stack.
• Maintain high coding standards through guidelines and active code reviews.
• Build reliable, performant, and scalable systems to enable other product teams.
• Develop systems to mitigate malicious signaling attacks, detect fake base-stations, and prevent SPAM/Smishing.

Requirements

• 4+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Strong foundation in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Fluency in a modern backend language such as Golang, Rust, Java/Kotlin, or Python.
• Firm grasp of algorithms, data structures, cloud infrastructure, and distributed systems.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Active US Security clearance or eligibility and willingness to obtain one.
