Software Engineer - Calibration

Responsibilities

• Implement a software pipeline for calibrating sensor intrinsic and extrinsic parameters across various vehicle configurations
• Design processes to manage the lifecycle and deployment of calibrations, including data collection, processing, and evaluation
• Work closely with the core calibration algorithm team to integrate and advance foundational technologies
• Build state-of-the-art algorithms for both offline (factory/lab) and online calibration to account for environmental variations
• Enable sensor fusion by working with Camera, Lidar, Radar, IMU, GNSS, and other sensor modalities
• Drive product excellence by designing user-friendly calibration procedures and HMI integrations

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience building software components or subsystems to solve practical engineering challenges
• Expertise in C++ and/or Python programming
• Hands-on experience with sensor pipelines, calibration, middleware, or related software frameworks and tools
• Proven ability to learn new technical tools quickly and act as a self-starter
• Passion for applying software expertise to real-world autonomous system applications

Preferred Qualifications

• MSc in calibration, state-estimation, optimization, or a closely related field
• Deep understanding of core calibration concepts, world representations, transforms, and sensor noise characteristics
• Experience with state-of-the-art offline and online calibration algorithms and sensor fusion for state estimation
• Knowledge of inertial and perception sensors and common industry approaches for production systems
• Experience building and shipping software frameworks or tools used by other engineering teams
