Software Engineer - Business Analytics

Responsibilities

• Take full ownership of an existing Python codebase, acting as a subject-matter expert to plan next-generation architecture.
• Develop a deep understanding of complex business structures to translate them into clean, reliable code.
• Build tools and automation to enable Accounting teams to execute updates efficiently with minimal manual intervention.
• Design and implement scalable reporting infrastructure to streamline the preparation and delivery of compensation reports.
• Work closely with business stakeholders to implement calculation logic for individual deal structures.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field.
• 2-5 years of relevant professional work experience.
• Strong programming proficiency in Python and SQL.
• Experience working with Linux operating systems, Git, and cloud computing platforms.
• Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and clear communication skills.
• A genuine interest or prior experience in capital markets or finance.

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with multi-manager hedge fund business models and PM deal structures.
• Experience collaborating directly with accounting and finance teams.
• Ability to read and interpret legal documents to translate requirements into technical code.
