Software Engineer, Billing & Payments

Responsibilities

• Build and own systems that generate invoices from contracts and orchestrate payment collection
• Develop invoice generation pipelines using Temporal-based durable workflows
• Manage end-to-end Stripe integrations, including intents, auto-charge, and webhook handling
• Work across backend services, data models, APIs, and frontend services
• Partner closely with Product and Design to implement complex financial workflows
• Ensure system correctness, reliability, and long-term maintainability

Requirements

• 3–5 years of professional software engineering experience
• Experience building web applications or backend services in production
• Familiarity with modern backend languages and frameworks
• Experience with modern frontend frameworks such as React or Vue
• Experience working with APIs and relational databases
• Ability to own systems end-to-end from design to production

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Temporal for job management
• Experience with TypeScript, Node, and NestJS
• Experience with Postgres and Redis
• Experience in fintech or building scalable financial systems
