Software Engineer, Backend (Safety)

Responsibilities

• Design and build highly-scalable, efficient, and robust trust and safety platforms and tools, including data tracking pipelines
• Develop systems to enhance data collection, compliance, and safety processes
• Create APIs and integrations with third-party services
• Create intelligent workflows including automating complex decision-making processes
• Understand product objectives to develop user-friendly platforms that align with operational needs
• Ensure safety services have zero downtime and can scale as our user base grows

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience in trust and safety tooling or content moderation systems
• Proficiency in designing data structures and building algorithms
• Proficiency in at least one programming language (Go, Kotlin, C, or C++)
• Demonstrated passion for user safety, human moderation, AI moderation, and operational efficiency

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with web development and frontend technologies
• Familiarity with regulatory requirements related to online safety (DSA, etc.)
• Experience working with machine learning models and data pipelines
