Software Engineer - Backend

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain features in Restream web services
• Design and implement backend APIs and business logic for new and existing features
• Provide and receive code review feedback within the team
• Maintain awareness of emerging technologies and identify opportunities
• Ensure redundancy and resilience of production infrastructure

Requirements

• Expertise in at least one general-purpose programming language
• High proficiency in database design (Relational and NoSQL like Scylla or Redis)
• Experience creating, testing, consuming, and supporting web service APIs
• Proficiency with AWS, Linux, Docker, and Kubernetes
• Experience with continuous deployment workflows
• Basic front-end skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Node.js (TypeScript) or Rust
• Experience with modern front-end frameworks
