Software Engineer, Backend

Responsibilities

• Deliver high quality software projects in coordination with teammates and stakeholders
• Participate in all phases of product development including specification, implementation, QA, and deployment
• Foster collaboration through documentation and code reviews
• Participate in engineering recruiting and interviewing
• Provide perspectives on architecture and major technical decisions
• Maintain high code quality and mentor others through pull request reviews

Requirements

• 6+ years of software development experience
• 4-year technical degree or equivalent work experience
• Experience building scalable distributed systems
• Experience designing and building REST APIs
• Experience with cloud computing architectures, particularly AWS
• Experience with CI/CD and Git
• Experience using AI/LLMs for data extraction and document generation
• Experience interfacing with financial technology APIs
• Authorization to work for any employer in the U.S. (no sponsorship available)

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with domain and data modeling
• Demonstrated background or interest in investment management
• Ability to execute in a fast-paced startup environment
