Software Engineer, Backend

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain key features for the Driver app and its associated APIs
• Design, implement, and launch scalable systems to support new products and services
• Optimize existing algorithms to ensure smooth operations and high performance
• Build and improve backend microservices to support rapid global expansion and user growth
• Collaborate closely with the tech team to communicate updates and system changes

Requirements

• 2+ years of hands-on experience in backend development (Java preferred)
• University degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
• Solid experience building backend microservices and APIs
• Proficiency with MySQL
• Experience or exposure to cloud services, specifically AWS
• Fluency in written and spoken English

Preferred Qualifications

• Sound knowledge of middleware such as Redis, ElasticSearch, Kafka, or RabbitMQ
• Ability to learn new technologies and frameworks quickly in a fast-paced environment
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask effectively
