DoorDash is a technology and logistics company on a mission to empower local economies. We are building a global infrastructure system that powers a three-sided marketplace of consumers, merchants, and dashers.

Responsibilities

• Improve scalability, performance, and reliability of data platform services
• Build and operate data discovery and metadata platforms
• Develop AI-enabled services and workflows, including self-serve tooling for AI assistants
• Add observability, monitoring, and operational tooling to maintain platform SLAs
• Drive cost-efficient data platform design by identifying underutilized resources
• Embed cost awareness into the data lifecycle through system design and usage signaling
• Partner with cross-functional teams in a fast-moving environment

Requirements

• B.E./B.Tech., M.E./M.Tech, or Ph.D. in Computer Science or equivalent
• 3+ years of experience with CS fundamental concepts
• Proficiency in Go, Java, or Python
• Proficiency in using AI coding tools (e.g., Claude Code, Codex, Cursor)
• Technical experience in Big Data infrastructure, Cost Efficiency, or Governance
• Experience building or operating backend systems in production environments

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with open-source technologies like Spark, Clickhouse, Iceberg, or Airflow
• Experience improving efficiency, scalability, and stability of data platforms
