Software Engineer – Automation & ServiceNow

Responsibilities

• Orchestrate cross-platform workflows connecting ServiceNow, cloud services, identity systems, and enterprise applications.
• Build AI-powered request resolution and autonomous operations to drive ticket deflection.
• Integrate AI agents into workflows using orchestration patterns to pull context and take action.
• Re-engineer business processes to eliminate unnecessary steps before implementing automation.
• Develop automation outside of ServiceNow using Python and PowerShell for cloud operations and identity management.
• Design workflows that balance automation with human oversight, defining clear approval points and safety boundaries.
• Own automation economics by measuring cost, cycle time, and overall business impact.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• 2–4 years of experience in software engineering, automation, or ServiceNow development.
• Hands-on experience with ServiceNow development, including Flow Designer, Integration Hub, and platform scripting.
• Proficiency with programming or scripting languages such as Python, Java, C#, or PowerShell.
• Experience working with REST APIs, webhooks, and authentication protocols like OAuth.
• Strong engineering fundamentals in system design, data structures, and enterprise data models (e.g., CMDB).
• Excellent English verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• ServiceNow certifications (CSA, CAD, CIS, or similar).
• Experience with additional ServiceNow modules such as ITSM, ITOM, HRSD, or SecOps.
• Familiarity with modern AI and integration frameworks like LangChain, LangGraph, or RAG pipelines.
• Experience building scoped applications using App Engine or using Automated Testing Frameworks (ATF).
• Exposure to agent-based systems, vector databases, or observability tooling.
