Automat was founded by a diverse group of creative technologists from teams like Google Creative Lab and Samsung’s innovation Think Tank Team. We are redefining Enterprise Agentic Process Automation and Intelligent Document Processing to replace legacy RPA solutions by developing the necessary tooling and infrastructure to incorporate AI into practical, real-world applications.

Responsibilities

• Work within the Core Engineering team to develop and expand the product suite, including Automat Studio and the Agentic Workflow Builder
• Build interfaces that leverage cutting-edge computer use models to automate enterprise workflows
• Collaborate with the Forward Deployed Team to understand customer interactions and improve the Developer Toolkit
• Develop intuitive UX interfaces that abstract complex business automation processes
• Create robust, enterprise-grade back-end infrastructure and services to power workflows at scale
• Influence engineering practices and shape product direction

Requirements

• Fullstack fundamentals including experience shipping production features across frontend and backend
• Understanding of APIs, databases, auth, and deployment
• Experience with modern web stacks such as Next.js
• Hands-on experience with AI coding tools like Cursor, Windsurf, or Claude Code
• Strong product and engineering judgment
• Ability to thrive in fast-paced, ambiguous startup environments
• High initiative and an ownership mindset
