Software Engineer Associate

Responsibilities

• Support the design, development, testing, and maintenance of software applications and data workflows
• Write clean, maintainable code following established standards and best practices
• Assist in developing simple data processing and reporting workflows
• Create and maintain Bash/Shell scripts to automate routine tasks and scheduled jobs
• Write and optimize SQL queries to retrieve and validate data
• Use Git for version control, including managing pull requests and incorporating feedback
• Participate in code reviews, team discussions, and knowledge sharing sessions
• Troubleshoot basic issues and provide clear documentation for escalations

Requirements

• 1–2 years of experience with Python (including Spark)
• Working experience with SQL and relational databases
• Hands-on experience in Linux/Unix environments
• Proficiency in Bash/Shell scripting and cron-based scheduling
• Solid working knowledge of Git and collaborative development workflows
• Understanding of data structures and algorithms
• English language proficiency at a B1/B2 level

Preferred Qualifications

• Introductory exposure to PySpark or large-scale data processing
• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as GCP, AWS, or Azure
• Awareness of CI/CD concepts or automated deployments
• Exposure to tools like Databricks, Docker, or Kubernetes
• Experience with JavaScript, Node.js, React, or building RESTful APIs
• Background in Capital Markets or Compliance
