Software Engineer

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain software solutions as a system configurator
• Translate stakeholder requests and system specifications into engineering artifacts including design specifications, source code, and test scripts
• Coordinate with software architects to ensure compliance with Enterprise Architecture principles
• Complete software development work including application design, coding, code review, and testing within Agile teams
• Manage engineering risks by proactively tracking and communicating issues
• Support business units in resolving in-depth user questions and issues following production support processes
• Provide input to Product Managers for Product Roadmap and High Level Estimates

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field
• 3-6 years of experience in software development
• Knowledge of Agile software development principles, processes, and tools
• Understanding of data modeling (conceptual, logical, and physical) and database design
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
• Excellent command of the English language (written and verbal)

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with low-code/no-code technologies such as Unqork, Federato, Outsystems, Appian, Mendix, or Salesforce Lightning Platform
• Knowledge and experience in Java development
• Experience within property and casualty insurance, policy administration, or underwriting rules domains
