Software Engineer

Responsibilities

• Support agile teams in maturing automated processes including build management, CI/CD, and release management
• Maintain standards, configurations, and scripts for cloud-based and on-premise services
• Provide and manage server environments for development and testing
• Execute Infrastructure as Code by setting up servers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers
• Complete complex software development work involving design, coding, and debugging
• Review logs to support security processes and ensure optimal build pipeline performance
• Plan and oversee infrastructure upgrades and configuration changes
• Assist in disaster recovery planning, testing, and response
• Support business units in resolving in-depth user issues

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field
• 5+ years of related software engineering experience
• Intermediate to advanced coding or scripting skills in Python, JavaScript, XSLT, or XML
• Proficiency with Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI)
• Experience with Finance/Accounting systems and General Ledger processes
• Understanding of APIs, integrations, and ERP systems like Workday or Microsoft Dynamics
• Experience with scalable back-end technologies such as Oracle and SQL Server
• Experience with infrastructure monitoring and reporting tools

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of Snowflake, AWS, or Alteryx Analytics
• Experience with ETL development, SSIS, or SSRS
• Familiarity with JIRA and microservices architecture
• Experience with Insurance or Reinsurance data systems
