Software Engineer

Responsibilities

• Participate in an early career rotation program, moving through 2 or 3 different technology teams
• Work 1-on-1 with senior engineers for mentorship and professional guidance
• Apply hands-on software development using Python or C++ to build critical systems
• Learn and implement software design and testing techniques, including Refactoring and Test Driven Development (TDD)
• Build systems that directly contribute to the firm's profitability and research capabilities

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or an equivalent technical field
• Proven history of building software solutions in Python or C++
• Less than 3 years of professional experience post-education
• Strong quantitative skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of event-driven architectures
• Experience with distributed systems
• Participation in mathematics or programming competitions (e.g., IMO, Putnam, USACO, ICPC)
