Software Engineer

Responsibilities

• Analyze user needs and software requirements to develop elegant solutions for the autonomy space
• Design, develop, and modify software specifications and determine performance standards
• Build scalable applications and participate in all aspects of development, including design, implementation, and testing
• Develop software system testing or validation procedures and architect solutions to technical bottlenecks
• Work across the entire stack to develop new products, features, and tools for autonomy development workflows
• Build out infrastructure initiatives and optimize cloud computing and storage costs
• Collaborate with domain experts in robotics, graphics, and infrastructure to design high-performance software

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience shipping complex software using C++ and/or Python
• Significant experience contributing to technical design documents
• Proven experience mentoring software engineers
• Ability to balance development pace with robustness, performance, and technical accuracy

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with simulation, modeling physical problems, or using robotics middlewares like ROS
• Background in autonomous driving, gaming, robotics, or dynamics and control
• Experience handling, filtering, and transforming time series data
