Software Engineer - Application Support Engineer

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day application support to ensure system availability and optimal performance
• Monitor and manage incident tickets, ensuring timely resolution and proper documentation
• Troubleshoot application issues by analyzing logs, identifying root causes, and implementing fixes or workarounds
• Perform incident management, including prioritization, escalation, and closure
• Collaborate with development, infrastructure, and business teams to resolve technical issues
• Investigate recurring issues and contribute to problem management and continuous improvement
• Maintain support documentation, knowledge base, and standard operating procedures
• Participate in an on-call rotation (8-hour shifts, 7 days a week during the rotation week)

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
• 2+ years of experience in production or application support
• Basic experience with SQL or NoSQL databases
• Experience with support tools such as ServiceNow, Splunk, Datadog, or Postman
• Knowledge of at least one programming language (Java, Python, or JavaScript)
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (preferably Azure) and container environments (preferably Kubernetes)
• Ability to read and understand application code for debugging and issue analysis
• Willingness to join an on-call rotation

Preferred Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of SQL, including the ability to run queries and analyze data for troubleshooting
