Software Engineer (Android)

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain Android features primarily in Java; write clean, modular, and testable code
• Implement UI screens using XML layouts and Views using Jetpack components
• Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback
• Debug, reproduce, and fix defects independently
• Write JUnit and Espresso tests to maintain code coverage
• Collaborate with designers, QA, and backend engineers to deliver features end-to-end
• Use AI tools like Claude, OpenAI Codex, and GitHub Copilot to write and refactor code
• Integrate ML Kit APIs for AI-powered in-app features

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
• Proficiency in Java (primary) and knowledge of Kotlin
• Experience with XML Layouts, Views, and Jetpack components
• Familiarity with Retrofit, OkHttp, and MVVM architecture
• Experience with JUnit and Espresso testing
• Ability to work in an AI-first development environment using LLM tools
