Software Engineer, Android

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain high-scale Android applications for one of India's largest transactional platforms
• Design and implement robust Android system architectures to support hundreds of millions of users
• Drive rapid iterative development while ensuring high standards of security, stability, and automation
• Solve complex engineering problems and build frameworks from scratch to improve platform performance
• Collaborate with product teams to implement customer-centric features and high-quality user experiences

Requirements

• 5-9 years of full-time Android application development experience
• Strong proficiency in Kotlin and modern Android development paradigms
• Deep understanding of Android system design and architecture
• Hands-on experience with MVVM, Dagger 2, Room, Data Binding, and Live Data
• Strong problem-solving skills and a passion for high-quality programming
• Experience with unit and instrumentation testing in E2E app development

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience developing and maintaining SDKs
• Familiarity with WorkManager and other advanced Android components
• A strong desire to explore new technical paradigms and continuous improvement
