Software Engineer, Android

Responsibilities

• Deliver unique and high-quality UI features using low-level APIs, shader creation, and custom rendering systems
• Develop platform components including media encoding/decoding, performance tracing libraries, and navigation/deeplink systems
• Contribute to roadmap creation and product ideation by identifying engineering and product tradeoffs
• Monitor analytics and manage system crashes to proactively triage bug fixes
• Participate in knowledge sharing and stay updated with industry trends and best practices

Requirements

• Professional experience in native Android development using Kotlin or Java
• Strong understanding of computer systems fundamentals (Multithreading, Memory Management, Processes, etc.)
• Experience building SDKs or libraries for other developers
• Passion for building consumer-facing products
• Professional experience in C or C++ is a significant advantage
