Software Engineer, Analytics & Data Infrastructure

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain core backend systems that ingest, transform, and serve data across the company
• Design, build, and operate reliable batch and streaming data pipelines
• Own ETL processes end-to-end from source integration to production delivery
• Build foundational schemas and canonical datasets for high-volume time-series and event data
• Manage ingestion across diverse sources including IoT telemetry, third-party APIs, and internal services
• Build platforms for cross-functional teams to query, explore, and visualize data
• Ensure source-of-truth datasets are consistent, documented, and trustworthy
• Help define and evolve data architecture, tooling, and best practices

Requirements

• 5+ years in data engineering or backend engineering with a strong data focus
• Deep experience building data infrastructure (e.g., BigQuery, Snowflake, Redshift, Databricks)
• Strong coding skills in Python and SQL
• Experience with modern orchestration frameworks like Airflow, Prefect, or dbt
• Experience integrating diverse data sources including APIs, event streams, and relational databases
• Familiarity with cloud infrastructure and infrastructure-as-code (GCP, AWS, or Terraform)
• Ability to work in fast-moving environments and build simple, reliable systems
