Software Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, troubleshoot, and analyze software programs for computer-based cyber security training.
• Research, document, and test security solutions for emerging technologies and CNE concepts.
• Create and maintain virtualized systems to simulate real-world immersive cyber environments.
• Support the development of tactical training scenarios and implement necessary updates to course content.
• Advance the maturity of class management tools to ensure successful delivery and grading of student activities.
• Perform system modeling, simulation, and detailed analysis of system specifications.
• Verify program accuracy through sample data preparation, testing, debugging, and log analysis.

Requirements

• Minimum 13 years of software development experience (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
• Active TS/SCI with Poly clearance.
• CompTIA Security+ certification or equivalent.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Ruby, C++, or Shell scripting.
• Experience with virtualization and containerization technologies including VMWare, Kubernetes, or Docker.
• Working knowledge of both Windows and Linux platforms.
• Experience working within Agile methodologies.

Preferred Qualifications

• Specialization in UI/UX (React, Angular, Svelte) or Backend Services (Flask, Node.js, Go, SQL/NoSQL).
• Specialization in DevOps/Integration (CI/CD pipelines, GitLab, Helm, Rancher).
• Experience developing applications specifically for Computer Network Operations.
