Software Engineer, AI-First

Responsibilities

• Use Claude and AI tooling as a core part of your daily engineering workflow for coding, testing, debugging, and design
• Direct AI to produce implementations by writing precise specifications and providing architectural context
• Review AI-generated code for logic errors and edge-case failures to ensure high-quality output
• Contribute to the design, development, and maintenance of scalable backend services
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define technical requirements and deliver high-quality features
• Implement best practices in coding, testing, and performance optimization within a cloud environment (AWS)
• Write and maintain automated tests to ensure reliability and confidence in releases

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience
• Strong programming skills in one or more backend languages (Java, C#/.NET, Python, or Go)
• Genuine enthusiasm for working with AI tools and integrating them into daily workflows
• Ability to write precise, unambiguous technical specifications
• Strong code review instincts, specifically regarding AI-generated patterns
• Understanding of distributed systems, data structures, and algorithms
• Comfortable working in lean Agile squads with international teams

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with relational or NoSQL databases
• Familiarity with AWS and containerized environments such as Docker and Kubernetes
• Experience using Confluence for technical documentation, ADRs, or runbooks
• Interest in healthcare or other regulated industries
