Software Engineer, AI Agents

About the Company

Blockit is building an autonomous time agent that handles the full complexity of scheduling, including timezones, group coordination, and in-person logistics. Backed by Sequoia, we are a small, fast-moving team building multiplayer, stateful AI agents that coordinate between multiple people and take real-world actions.

Responsibilities

• Write and refine prompts across the agent system, including orchestrators, sub-agents, and tools
• Build and maintain evaluation frameworks to measure agent quality and catch regressions
• Debug agent failures to identify why requests were misunderstood or incorrect calls were made
• Implement new agent capabilities as user needs expand
• Experiment with new architectures and techniques as models improve
• Instrument and analyze agent behavior to identify patterns and failure modes

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience shipping and owning production software
• Strong backend engineering skills with full-stack flexibility
• Experience working with LLMs in production systems or a demonstrated ability to learn quickly
• Deep curiosity regarding agent architectures and evolving industry techniques
• Clear, structured communication skills
