Software Engineer, Agents

Responsibilities

• Design and build agent orchestration systems for multi-step workflows, state management, and error recovery
• Implement agent skills and tools to expose model capabilities to automated workflows
• Build inference infrastructure for efficient model serving, optimizing for latency and throughput
• Design APIs and integrations, including MCP-compatible interfaces
• Develop internal tools for experiment management and evaluation pipelines
• Establish software engineering practices including testing, CI/CD, and code review

Requirements

• BS in Computer Science or equivalent experience
• 4+ years of experience building production software systems
• Experience integrating ML models into products or LLM-based workflows
• Strong Python engineering skills with a focus on maintainable, well-tested code
• Experience designing APIs and systems for other engineers/researchers
• Proficiency with cloud infrastructure, containerization, and deployment pipelines
• Systems-thinking approach focused on reliability and observability

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with LLM orchestration frameworks or agent architectures
• Experience with MCP (Model Context Protocol)
• Background in biology, chemistry, or computational biology
• Experience building tools for research or data science teams
• Experience with inference optimization for large models
