Software Engineer, Agent

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver production-grade AI agents that are highly performant and reliable
• Drive the Agent Development Life Cycle (ADLC) from initial pilot through deployment and iteration
• Partner with large enterprises and startups to understand business challenges and build transformative AI solutions
• Collaborate with research, product, and platform teams to shape the future of the Sierra platform
• Prototype new tools, features, and agent architectures based on customer needs

Requirements

• Experience building and scaling end-to-end production systems
• Strong technical problem-solving skills in ambiguous environments
• High agency and a builder/tinkerer's mindset
• Ability to work directly with customers to solve real-world problems
• Excellent communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences
• Interest in Financial Services and familiarity with industry security or compliance (PII, fair lending) is a plus

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience building or deploying AI/LLM systems in production
• Experience as a founder or founding engineer
• Familiarity with eval frameworks, agent tooling, RAG pipelines, and prompt engineering
• Proficiency with React, TypeScript, or Go
• Experience interfacing with customers or leading technical projects with external stakeholders
