Software Engineer, Agent Data Platform

Responsibilities

• Architect and build core data platforms to handle data at scale with low latency
• Develop real-time eventing infrastructure, streaming/batch ETL pipelines, and Iceberg-based data lakehouses
• Build systems for long-term agent memory and Customer Data Platform (CDP) primitives
• Implement optimization loops to allow agents to personalize interactions
• Design and ship data products including analytics dashboards and visualization tools

Requirements

• 4-7+ years of hands-on software engineering experience
• Experience with large-scale data systems (Spark, Flink, Trino/Presto, Iceberg, or Hudi)
• Proficiency in Go, Scala, or Python
• Strong understanding of distributed systems and backend fundamentals
• Expertise in data modeling (dimensional modeling, star/snowflake schemas)
• For product-focused roles: experience with TypeScript, React, and API design
• Degree in Computer Science or equivalent professional experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with event streaming platforms like Kafka or Kinesis
• Proficiency with data visualization libraries such as ECharts or D3.js
• Production experience with recommender systems or optimization loops (e.g., multi-armed bandits)
• Track record of leading complex technical projects or mentoring engineers
