Software Engineer, Ad Formats

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and scale creative rendering and presentation systems for ads experiences
• Develop infrastructure and tooling for text, image, video, native, conversational, and interactive ad formats
• Define how ads are structured, rendered, validated, and delivered across ChatGPT and other surfaces
• Build systems ensuring reliable, efficient, and high-quality ad rendering across platforms
• Partner with Product, Design, and Research to prototype and ship native ad experiences
• Architect distributed systems with strong reliability, usability, privacy, and performance guarantees
• Drive 0→1 product development through rapid prototyping and iterative deployment
• Maintain high engineering rigor through testing, documentation, and observability

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience building high-scale consumer product experiences, creative systems, ads systems, or platform infrastructure
• Proven track record of architecting complex systems for user-facing experiences across multiple surfaces
• Strong ability to work at the intersection of frontend systems, backend infrastructure, and design
• Experience thriving in 0→1 environments where architecture must be defined from scratch
• Strong product intuition and collaborative mindset

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with ads formats or creative rendering systems
• Experience with content delivery or design systems
• Experience with media platforms or interactive product experiences
