Software Engineer 2

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test strategies and frameworks across software and system boundaries
• Contribute to the Software Development Lifecycle by partnering with engineers to influence requirements and design
• Validate complex systems spanning software, firmware, hardware, and networking
• Collaborate with software, manufacturing, and product teams to understand system behavior and risks
• Analyze failures, identify root causes, and drive defects to resolution
• Improve test coverage, efficiency, and scalability for rack-level and system-level testing
• Apply AI-assisted and agentic testing approaches to improve defect detection and regression analysis
• Provide guidance and mentoring to junior QE team members

Requirements

• Strong experience in software quality engineering, test automation, or system validation
• Proficiency in one or more programming or scripting languages
• Solid understanding of software engineering fundamentals, system architecture, and system-level interactions
• Experience validating systems involving operating systems, networking, hardware, and firmware
• Hands-on experience with test frameworks, tools, and automation pipelines
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with a root-cause mindset
• Ability to work effectively in cross-functional Agile teams
• Clear written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• 5–7 years of relevant experience in software QA, automation, or system testing
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or an equivalent field
• Experience in manufacturing, test engineering, embedded systems, firmware, BIOS, or device-level validation
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, continuous testing, or AI-assisted test generation
• Experience testing distributed systems or large-scale infrastructure
