Software Director, Engineering

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership and strategic direction for the development and integration of software across the full embedded stack.
• Lead the definition of software architecture and technical direction for IE-IOT programs to ensure alignment with product requirements and business objectives.
• Partner with systems engineers, hardware teams, and external partners to establish technical priorities and resolve complex integration issues.
• Drive software strategy for platform bring-up, hardware enablement, performance optimization, and productization.
• Direct multiple high-level engineering staff in the execution of technical priorities and program deliverables.
• Mentor senior team members to support effective job performance and leadership development.
• Manage technical execution across multiple software layers, including boot ROM, bootloader, Linux kernel modules, and RTOS.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• 8+ years of experience in embedded software development across the full software stack.
• 8+ years of experience with programming languages such as C, C++, or Rust.
• 4+ years of supervisory or leadership experience.
• Proven experience working in a SoC design house.

Preferred Qualifications

• 12+ years of experience in embedded software development.
• Extensive experience with Qualcomm IE-IOT and Qualcomm Linux.
• Experience defining APIs and working with Linux user-space applications.
• Background in Industrial IoT, Robotics, or IP Camera technologies.
