Software Development Test Engineer II

Responsibilities

• Conduct manual testing for front-end (UI) and back-end (API/database) components to verify functionality, usability, and performance.
• Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using tools like Selenium or Playwright.
• Write comprehensive test plans, test cases, and detailed test reports.
• Identify, document, and track defects using JIRA, partnering with developers for root cause analysis and resolution.
• Perform API testing using Postman to validate data flow and integration.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
• Collaborate with engineering, product, and DevOps teams to improve test strategies and release quality.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience in manual and automation testing of web applications.
• Hands-on experience with both frontend (UI) and backend (API and Database) testing.
• Strong expertise in test automation using Selenium or Playwright.
• Solid working knowledge of Core Java and experience with JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Proficiency in using Postman for API testing.
• Ability to write and execute SQL queries for backend validation.
• Strong understanding of the Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC) and defect tracking processes.
• Experience with JIRA or similar test management platforms.
