Software Development Test Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test plans and strategies to validate software functionality and performance.
• Create and implement automated test scripts using modern testing frameworks to facilitate early defect detection.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze requirements, participate in design discussions, and develop acceptance criteria.
• Perform root cause analysis for identified defects and work closely with developers to support resolution.
• Participate in code reviews and promote a culture of code quality and knowledge sharing.
• Drive quality through test automation and scalable framework development within the mobile banking domain.

Requirements

• Proficiency in Java or JavaScript with solid OOP knowledge and experience with design patterns (e.g., Page Object Model).
• Experience with Selenium for UI automation and API testing (REST/GraphQL) using tools like Postman or RestAssured.
• Understanding of microservices architecture and system design.
• Experience with Git and CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions).
• Familiarity with Docker and cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure.
• Basic performance testing experience using tools like JMeter or Gatling.
• Strong test design and problem-solving skills with a structured approach to UI, functional, and performance testing.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience working within the financial services industry.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across diverse technical teams.
