About the role

Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, and support the growth of a high-performing Platform and DevOps engineering team
  • Own delivery for business applications, including roadmap execution, release planning, and risk management
  • Evolve Kubernetes/EKS environments and drive GitOps and CI/CD best practices
  • Build paved roads, templates, and reusable developer workflows to improve engineering productivity
  • Establish and improve SLOs, SLIs, on-call practices, and incident response processes
  • Partner cross-functionally with Product, Design, Security, and Engineering stakeholders

Requirements

  • 3+ years of people leadership experience managing and developing engineers
  • 7+ years of engineering experience in cloud infrastructure, DevOps, or platform engineering
  • Strong expertise with AWS services including EKS, EC2, VPC, S3, RDS, and Lambda
  • Experience with Kubernetes operations, Helm, and infrastructure security practices
  • Proficiency in building CI/CD pipelines and GitOps workflows
  • Strong understanding of Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and/or AWS CDK
  • Programming experience in Python, Java, TypeScript, or Node.js
  • Familiarity with SRE practices, including incident management and operational excellence

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience building or operating Internal Developer Platforms (IDP)
  • Familiarity with service meshes, policy engines, and platform governance
  • Experience supporting multi-region architectures and resilience engineering
  • Knowledge of observability platforms, distributed tracing, and synthetic monitoring
  • Experience with event-driven architectures and messaging systems like Kafka or Kinesis
