Responsibilities

• Lead a squad of engineers, owning both their delivery and their development
• Develop engineers at all levels through coaching and mentorship
• Stay hands-on with technical work including code reviews and architectural decisions
• Own the delivery process with small tickets and fast cycles
• Provide direct, regular feedback and maintain a high performance bar
• Monitor service stability and drive proactive improvements
• Run team ceremonies, resolve blockers, and manage risks
• Manage technical debt and participate in incident triage
• Support hiring, candidate sourcing, and interview calibration
• Partner with product counterparts on roadmap, scope, and timelines

Requirements

• Proven experience leading an engineering team
• Strong technical skills with the ability to perform code reviews and architectural planning
• Experience hiring and calibrating engineering talent
• Ability to manage underperformance directly
• Experience owning production quality and service stability
• Strong opinions on effective engineering management
