About the role
Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee application development and legacy technology support within the COAT portfolio.
- Manage geographically dispersed development and break-fix/L3 teams.
- Drive a customer-focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage bank systems.
- Ensure application development meets integrity, quality, performance, and reliability requirements using DevOps principles and automated testing.
- Engage stakeholders across Front, Middle, and Back office, Risk management, and Infrastructure teams to align development with business requirements.
- Oversee project estimation, resource management, and the implementation of people strategies to attract and develop talent.
- Coordinate infrastructure needs for cloud-based resources and assist with architecture and security documentation.
Requirements
- Proven experience in software development, enhancement, and implementation specifically within AS/400 environments.
- Proficiency in AS/400 technologies including RGPLE, COBOL/400, CLLE, and DB2/400.
- Experience designing job batches and job sequences using job schedulers.
- Expertise in troubleshooting batch and interactive jobs and addressing production issues.
- Strong background in unit testing, quality analysis testing, and system testing.
- Demonstrated experience in team management, resource handling, and project estimation.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to coordinate with end-users and technical stakeholders.
