About the role

Responsibilities

  • Monitor, control, and consolidate software development work packages for Display Driver Units (DDU)
  • Lead and mentor a team of approximately 5 software developers
  • Develop HMI software requirements in alignment with system specifications and RAMS constraints
  • Design software architecture and develop reusable software components
  • Generate executable code for Main Process Units (MPU) and Display Driver Units (DDU)
  • Organize work package reviews and manage risk assessment and mitigation plans
  • Interface with System, Control, and RAMS Engineers to finalize requirements
  • Provide technical support during hardware/software integration and validation processes
  • Implement development practices and maintain KPIs for project reporting

Requirements

  • Degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field
  • Hands-on experience in the complete Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC)
  • Experience in Human Machine Interface (HMI) software development, including UI/UX and ergonomics
  • Proficiency in IEC 61131-3 standards and tools such as 3S Codesys or Qt
  • Knowledge of real-time embedded Linux distributions and scripting languages
  • Familiarity with network protocols including Ethernet, CAN, RS232, and AFDX
  • Experience with safety-critical or mission-critical software development (e.g., EN50128 standards)
  • Proven leadership and team management experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Strong understanding of Train Control and Monitoring Systems (TCMS)
