Software Development Engineer (SDE II)

Responsibilities

• Design and implement user interfaces for AWS Console experiences using modern web technologies including React and TypeScript.
• Build and refine agentic experiences within the AWS Console to enable natural-language interactions and AI-assisted guidance.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with UX designers, product managers, and service teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Own features end-to-end from initial scoping and technical design through implementation, testing, deployment, and operational support.
• Monitor and optimize console performance by analyzing metrics dashboards and identifying performance bottlenecks.
• Participate in operational excellence through on-call rotations, maintaining runbooks, and building automation to reduce toil.
• Mentor other engineers through code reviews, pair programming, and knowledge sharing to elevate team technical standards.

Requirements

• 3+ years of professional software development experience.
• 2+ years of experience in design or architecture of new and existing systems (design patterns, reliability, and scaling).
• Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
• Comprehensive knowledge of the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, software architectures, code reviews, source control, and continuous deployment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in agile software development methodologies.
• Experience in automating, deploying, and supporting large-scale infrastructure.
• Proficiency with common front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, TypeScript, and Node.
• Experience using modern frameworks such as React or Angular.
