Software Development Engineer - IV

Responsibilities

• Take end-to-end ownership of designing, developing, and maintaining scalable backend services and APIs
• Architect and build highly scalable backend systems using Java and Spring Boot
• Troubleshoot, debug and resolve production issues with a focus on root cause analysis
• Collaborate closely with front-end and mobile-app engineers, product managers, and DevOps teams
• Design and optimize database schemas, queries, and indexing strategies for high performance
• Implement robust authentication, authorization, and security best practices
• Ensure code quality through code reviews, automated testing, and documentation
• Drive system performance optimizations, load balancing, and fault-tolerant designs

Requirements

• 6 to 8 years of experience in building and managing large-scale backend systems using Java and Spring Boot
• Proficiency in Java (JDK 11+)
• Deep understanding of Spring Framework (Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Data JPA, Spring Security)
• Experience designing and implementing RESTful APIs with Swagger/OpenAPI
• Strong knowledge of Microservices architecture and distributed systems
• Expertise in relational databases (MySQL/PostgreSQL) and NoSQL (Firebase, Redis)
• Hands-on experience with message brokers like Kafka or RabbitMQ
• Proficiency in unit and integration testing using JUnit, TestNG, or Mockito
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI, or GitHub Actions)
• Proficient in Git and GitFlow
• Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with cloud platforms like AWS, GCP, or Azure
• Knowledge of caching strategies using Redis or Memcached
• Familiarity with monitoring tools like DataDog or Prometheus
• Exposure to Serverless architectures and AWS Lambda
• Experience in performance optimization and troubleshooting JVM-related issues
