Software Development Engineer in Test/Python Developer

Responsibilities

• Build automated test suites using a Python-based framework to understand trading system functionality
• Design and implement tests for throughput, functionality, data processing, and latency for trading components
• Test trading system releases and support release management
• Support and maintain test environments and integrate tests into continuous integration systems
• Troubleshoot bugs and investigate production issues for root cause analysis
• Develop, maintain, and enhance Python production applications such as trade data processing and reconciliation tools

Requirements

• 2+ years of Python programming experience
• 2+ years of automation testing experience
• Experience with testing frameworks for unit and integration testing (PyTest)
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
• Solid understanding of software development and testing practices

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with trading systems
• Experience developing or maintaining production-facing Python applications
• Familiarity with FIX protocol and other financial messaging protocols
