Software Development Engineer in Test

Responsibilities

• Create high-quality acceptance tests from acceptance criteria to help the scrum team understand user story value.
• Support and maintain continuous daily automated test execution and review failed tests.
• Identify appropriate test cases for automation to ensure the delivery of working software at the conclusion of every sprint.
• Integrate best practices including code maintainability and design patterns such as modularity and reusability.
• Advocate for quality improvement across all stages of the software development lifecycle.
• Serve as a quality champion within the scrum team and support the QA Community of Practice through knowledge sharing.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in a technology-related discipline.
• Strong technical foundation in C# or a similar programming language.
• Experience with API-based automated test development.
• Proficiency in writing T-SQL and performing Unit Testing.
• Hands-on experience with Selenium or Playwright.
• Intermediate knowledge of manual testing techniques and tools.
• Solid understanding of the SDLC process and experience in Agile/Scrum frameworks.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with UI automated test development.
• Knowledge of JavaScript, Ajax, Jquery, CSS, XML, or Angular.
• Experience creating test scenarios using the Gherkin format.
• Familiarity with development tools such as Visual Studio and SQL Management Studio.
