Software Development Engineer in Test

Responsibilities

• Review functional requirements, user stories, and test assets from internal stakeholders
• Build automated test cases and contribute to test pipelines
• Implement AI-assisted testing strategies and evaluate AI/ML tooling for test generation and defect prediction
• Instill QA best practices within scrum teams through collaboration on test coverage
• Configure and verify continuous build plans in Jenkins and SonarQube
• Participate in all aspects of the Agile SDLC, including grooming, retrospectives, and planning

Requirements

• 7+ years of Software Quality Assurance experience, ideally in FinTech
• Proficiency with Python and Pytest for coded UI automation using Selenium WebDriver
• Experience with GitHub Actions for CI/CD pipeline automation
• Strong understanding of Git and GitHub workflows
• Experience with web service and API testing using Postman or equivalent
• Proficiency with SQL (MSSQL, Postgres)
• Experience with containerized environments using Docker and Gradle
• Experience working in Agile environments using Jira and Bitbucket
• BS degree in Finance, Computer Science, or equivalent experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with performance testing tools like JMeter or Locust.io
• Knowledge of Groovy or Ruby on Rails
• Familiarity with monitoring tools such as InfluxDB and Grafana
• Experience with Spring frameworks
• Knowledge of financial technologies such as FIX, IDC, Reuters, Morningstar, or Bloomberg
• Experience applying AI/ML to quality engineering challenges like flaky test detection
