Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) - Retail

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and execute test automation frameworks using Selenium across Web, Mobile, Cloud, and Desktop platforms
• Perform automation during Agile sprint cycles to ensure continuous quality delivery
• Validate end-to-end retail and merchandising workflows, including store-level scenarios
• Collaborate with cross-functional Dev, Product, and QA teams to build comprehensive test strategies
• Execute post-validation testing at physical store locations (requires minimal travel within ~20 miles)
• Create, manage, and track defects and bug reports to ensure timely resolution
• Develop robust test scenarios, acceptance criteria, and regression suites
• Support CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices for continuous testing
• Provide regular test status reports and closure reports to stakeholders

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in Agile Functional Testing, Test Automation, and Quality Engineering
• Strong hands-on expertise in Selenium test automation (mandatory)
• Proven experience working within the Retail or Merchandising domain (must-have)
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Java or Python
• Experience with API Testing
• Ability to work across multiple platforms including Web, Mobile, Desktop, and Cloud

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience testing specific retail systems such as POS, merchandising, or store systems
• Knowledge of DevOps and CI/CD processes (e.g., Jenkins, pipelines, auto-builds)
• Strong experience in test data management and reporting
• Ability to analyze complex issues and collaborate with teams for rapid resolution
