Software Development Engineer in Test

Responsibilities

• Design, execute, and maintain test cases for Web, Desktop (Windows, macOS, Linux), and native mobile (iOS and Android) applications
• Perform functional, regression, exploratory, cross-platform, and end-to-end testing
• Develop and maintain comprehensive test cases and testing documentation
• Collaborate with developers, product managers, and stakeholders to validate testing requirements
• Analyze complex issues, identify root causes, and provide clear defect documentation
• Lead bug triage activities and support issue resolution with engineering teams
• Validate REST and SOAP APIs and verify backend data using SQL queries
• Support release validation and post-release verification activities
• Mentor junior QA engineers and share testing best practices

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional experience in Software Quality Assurance
• Expertise in manual and exploratory testing for Web, Desktop, and native mobile (iOS/Android)
• Experience testing REST and SOAP APIs using Postman or Swagger
• Proficiency with SQL for backend data validation
• Strong knowledge of defect tracking tools like Jira
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
• BS in Computer Science or a related technical field

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in test automation using Selenium, Appium, or Playwright
• Basic knowledge of Java or Kotlin
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and Git
• Experience with debugging tools such as Charles Proxy or Proxyman
