Software Development Engineer in Test I (SDET I)

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and execute automated and manual tests for IIoT platform components
• Develop and maintain unit, integration, regression, performance, and API tests
• Collaborate with developers to ensure comprehensive test coverage across the software stack
• Build and maintain automated test suites and perform exploratory testing
• Document defects and work closely with development teams for resolution
• Participate in Agile ceremonies, test planning, and review sessions
• Ensure adherence to quality standards, regulatory requirements, and system documentation

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
• 3-5 years of experience in software testing or automation
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or Java
• Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and test methodologies
• Experience working in Agile development environments (Scrum, Kanban, or SAFe)
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Exposure to CI/CD tools and cloud environments
• Experience with test automation frameworks like Selenium or Pytest
• Experience using AI-assisted coding tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Cursor)
• Familiarity with industrial automation concepts
• Experience with test management systems and performance/security testing tools
