Software Development Engineer III

Responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable microservices using NestJS
• Develop React-based frontend features to expose platform capabilities
• Write high-quality, testable, and maintainable full-stack code
• Develop and maintain comprehensive unit, integration, and end-to-end tests
• Diagnose and troubleshoot production issues
• Leverage AI-assisted development tools to accelerate velocity
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and architectural discussions
• Partner cross-functionally with product, design, and QA teams

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript (ES6+)
• Hands-on experience with NestJS (modules, providers, dependency injection)
• Proficiency with Node.js and designing RESTful APIs in microservices
• Experience building Single Page Applications with ReactJS
• Experience integrating with external APIs and third-party services
• Hands-on experience with NoSQL databases like MongoDB
• Solid understanding of web fundamentals (HTML, CSS, security, performance)
• Strong unit and integration testing discipline
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and Git

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with event-driven architectures and messaging systems (Kafka, RabbitMQ)
• Familiarity with API gateways and inter-service communication
• Knowledge of authentication patterns (OAuth, JWT, Auth0)
• Experience with server-side rendering or isomorphic React
• Experience with front-end build tools (Webpack, Vite, Babel)
• Exposure to containerization (Docker) and cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure)
