Software Development Engineer III

Responsibilities

• Design and build highly maintainable SaaS connectors for 100+ applications, managing authentication flows like OAuth and JWT.
• Lead the development of scalable REST API layers, optimizing for performance, versioning, rate limiting, and security.
• Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks in data pipelines to ensure high availability for enterprise-scale integrations.
• Improve code quality, system architecture, and product reliability across complex distributed systems.
• Independently scope, implement, and document end-to-end features.
• Mentor junior engineers on integration best practices and API design principles.

Requirements

• 5-6 years of experience building scalable SaaS integrations or distributed data systems.
• Mastery of Java, data structures, algorithms, and computer science fundamentals.
• Strong object-oriented design skills and expertise in design patterns.
• Proven experience building concurrent, high-throughput systems handling massive data volumes.
• Deep knowledge of REST API nuances including idempotency, pagination, and error handling.
• B Tech in Computer Science or an equivalent degree from a reputed college.
• Analytical mindset for troubleshooting complex challenges like schema drifts and token refreshes.
