About the role

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, test, troubleshoot, debug, deploy, maintain, and document large-scale, highly distributed, real-time management systems.
  • Use Java, Scala, object-oriented design patterns, NoSQL databases, and data modeling techniques to build core supply chain systems.
  • Design PB-scale big-data processing solutions leveraging the latest AWS solutions.
  • Gather and analyze business and functional requirements to translate them into technical design specifications.
  • Work with Senior and Principal Engineers, Researchers, and Data Engineers to optimize supply chain management solutions.
  • Recommend improvements in development, maintenance, and system standards within an agile environment.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
  • 5+ years of experience leading design or architecture, including design patterns, reliability, and scaling of new and existing systems.
  • 5+ years of programming experience with at least one software programming language.
  • Experience serving as a mentor, tech lead, or leading an engineering team.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or an equivalent field.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience across the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
