Responsibilities
- Develop large scale Big Data architectures and enterprise-level code
- Design and implement APIs, abstractions, and integration patterns for distributed computing
- Define technical requirements, data extraction, transformation, and job automation
- Interface with Fortune 500 customers to understand strategic requirements
- Apply good development practices including unit testing, checkin policies, and code deployment
- Collaborate with engineers, data scientists, and product managers
Requirements
- 3 to 5 years of relevant work experience
- Degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline
- Proficiency in Java, Python, C++, or Scala
- Experience with functional and object-oriented programming
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Technical knowledge in Spark, Hadoop, and GCS Stack
- Experience with Vertica, Snowflake, or Druid
- Background in Big Data domain development and support
- Experience with database modeling, data mining, and warehousing
- Experience in architecture and delivery of enterprise-scale applications
- Experience working with large, complex datasets from various sources
- Familiarity with Agile methodology
