Software Development Engineer II

Responsibilities

• Design and develop frameworks and tools using PHP, Java, SQL, SvelteKit, TypeScript, and bash/shell scripting
• Maintain and enhance relational databases including MySQL, PostgreSQL, and SQLite
• Develop, execute, and document test infrastructure solutions within an Agile environment
• Maintain servers and hardware components that support the automated QA test environment
• Implement observability solutions such as distributed tracing, metrics collection, and log aggregation
• Support AI/ML integration efforts by contributing to tooling and pipelines for intelligent automation
• Design and maintain RESTful APIs following Swagger/OpenAPI specifications

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering with 2.5 years of relevant industry experience
• 4+ years of software development experience in web languages including HTML, CSS, JSON, jQuery, SQL, PHP, Java, TypeScript, NodeJS, and Docker
• Experience developing and consuming RESTful APIs with Swagger/OpenAPI documentation
• Experience with relational databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, or SQLite
• Experience with cloud platforms like AWS or Azure (compute, storage, and networking)
• Experience installing and maintaining Linux operating systems
• Strong design, analysis, and debugging skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins) and container orchestration (Kubernetes)
• Familiarity with observability tools like OpenTelemetry, Grafana, Prometheus, and Sentry
• Knowledge of Python for scripting and automation
• Experience with Atlassian tools including Jira and Bitbucket
• Familiarity with AI/ML concepts and their application in QA environments
• Experience with log aggregation stacks like ELK/EFK
